From Cinecittà to the Museo Nazionale del Cinema, emblematic landmarks of Italy’s cinematic heritage, the collection embarks on a journey through the splendour of the silver screen. It begins with Pane, Amore e Fantasia and the timeless beauty of Gina Lollobrigida, whose magnetic presence epitomises the glamour of classic screen divas. From Sophia Loren to Virna Lisi, from Monica Vitti to Vittorio De Sica and Alberto Sordi, each piece captures the spirit of the films that shaped cinematic history, evoking the elegance, emotion, and unmistakable allure of these masterpieces.

“Colours, sounds, and glances tell the story of our journey. A colour can enchant me, a glance can make me fall in love, and a smile can give me hope,” said Monica Vitti.

The collection’s colour palette draws inspiration from vintage film reels, with rich hues and tonal nuances that evoke the atmosphere of a bygone era. The silhouettes blend the refined tailoring of the 1950s with the creative freedom of the 1980s and 1990s, resulting in pieces that feel both sophisticated and contemporary.

Prints lie at the heart of the collection’s visual narrative. An all-over motif of black-and-white donkeys, enriched with golden accents, pays tribute to Pane, Amore e Fantasia, while an Art Nouveau-inspired foliage print celebrates Virna Lisi, suspended between reality and fairytale. Her “precious jewels” — golden chains and lucky-charm pendants — shimmer against deep purple and vibrant green backgrounds.

The cinematic homage continues through winter-inspired scenes recalling the beloved comedies of Monica Vitti and Alberto Sordi: snow-covered landscapes, brightly dressed skiers, and the phrase Holiday of Amore, a nostalgic tribute to the carefree spirit of holidays past. Enriquez’s signature Mille Cuori graphic intertwines with a warm tartan pattern in shades of red and golden beige.

The imaginary journey then arrives at Cinema Enriquez, an illustration that transports the viewer to a grand celebration beneath the illuminated piazzas of Italy, where cinema stars gather in a dreamlike midnight-blue atmosphere infused with nostalgia. The classic pied-de-poule is reimagined as a sophisticated pattern featuring the word AMORE, while a sumptuous banquet inspired by The Leopard comes to life through golden leopards and evocative animal motifs.

Completing the narrative is a surreal and poetic print in which a flower blooms to reveal an egg — a symbol of luck, renewal, and love — immersed in luminous shades of blue and green.
